NACCHS is Mornington Island’s locally led, not-for-profit Aboriginal health service delivering culturally safe, holistic care.
NACCHS is a not-for-profit Aboriginal health service Governed by a local board, focused on delivering culturally safe, holistic care that reflects the values, priorities and knowledge of our people.
Ngarnal Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service began as a community initiative to bring better health outcomes to Mornington Island. For years, we’ve advocated for culturally appropriate care that puts our mob first, care that understands our way of life, our stories, and our strengths.
In 2026, NACCHS is taking a major step forward, becoming the primary provider of health care services on the island, transitioning from previous arrangements and into full community control.
Our vision is to strengthen the health and wellbeing of our people through culturally safe, community-controlled care – grounded in connection, led by culture, and guided by local voices.
